The Repair Atelier runs and hosts events, performances, workshops that bring forward ideas, skills, and techniques on how to mend/ repair/ fix your thing, issues, ideas, body and mind. As an alternative to fetishizing "new", we like to see mending/ repair as a way to be creative, have fun, and generate a community that has interests in the continuation and re-imagination of the life of objects, things, and issues framed by the ideals of diversity, equity and inclusion. In addition to our own programming, we also seek YOU to propose an event/ workshop. The Repair Atelier, a former chapel over 200 years old, is itself an example of repair. It provides a warm and welcoming environment to animate your ideas of repair in relation to our larger community. Sign up to propose your idea or contact us with questions. Pricing on a sliding scale for non-profits.
THE REPAIR ATELIER, an art/ design workshop that investigates and activates ideas of reuse. The Repair Atelier is imagined as a collaborative space to rethink and reuse discarded and broken objects, transform them and in the process 'repair' not just objects but also the communities that form around them.
